CLASSES & WORKSHOPS
Welcome to the Contemporary Art Center’s Studio School. Courses take place in our award-winning facility where the Museum has a built-in Studio School space devoted specifically to hands-on artmaking purposes. Here, both adults and children have the opportunity to explore drawing, painting, printmaking, ceramics, digital photography, fine crafts and more. All courses are taught by professional regional artists and educators and take place throughout the day into the evening hours, as well as at the weekend. After-school and Saturday courses are also offered for children and teens as well as spring-break and summer Art Camp.
CAC also offers Master Classes for its Members. Master Classes introduce participants to a visiting artist featured in the Museum’s exhibitions. During these sessions, artists present their work to the group and lead them through a hands-on project that relates to their practice. This is a fabulous way for members to have one-on-one interaction with esteemed contemporary artists. In the past the Museum has featured Hank Murta Adams, Kanishka Raja, Yuken Teruya, Adia Millett and more.

Special Thanks to the Alison J. and Ella W. Parsons Fund of The Norfolk Foundation, which awarded CAC $60,000 for upgrades in the Studio School.
