VIRGINIA BEACH, VA—The Boardwalk Art Show & Festival, produced by the Contemporary Art Center of Virginia (CAC), is gearing up for its 50th Anniversary. In celebration, CAC has unveiled a new logo and prepared several events to celebrate the 50th Anniversary.

              The show has new look, inside and out. With help from the creative team at Davis & Company Advertising, CAC has created a new logo to give the show a fresh face. Another significant change is in the award money--the Best in Show prize has increased from $7,500 to $10,000 for the 50th Anniversary.

The Boardwalk Art Show & Festival is one of the oldest outdoor art shows in the United States. With prize money totaling $25,000 and estimated sales over $1 million, the art show features 300 fine artists and attracts more than 300,000 visitors each year. Nightly entertainment makes this four-day event fun for the whole family.

The CAC is located at 2200 Parks Avenue at the entrance to Interstate-264 in Virginia Beach.  Hours of operation are Tuesday through Friday 10am to 5pm; Saturday, 10am to 4pm and Sunday, noon to 4pm.  Summer admission is $7 for adults and $5 for seniors, students and active military.  Children under the age of 4 are admitted free of charge.  For information call 757.425.0000 or visit the CAC’s Web site at www.cacv.org.
