The culmination of a major three-year curatorial and educational project at CAC, Counterparts juxtaposes contemporary American painters from around the country with the influential works of their teachers and inspirations. Acknowledging the resurgence of painting in contemporary art, CAC’s educational programming plans to bring visitors up-to-date with current state of painting.
