TEACHING WITH ART
2008-2009

 

Teaching with Art is an interactive professional development opportunity for Virginia Beach City Public School teachers. This program is part of VBCPS PDP course offerings. Using the Contemporary Art Center of Virginia’s (CAC) art exhibitions as a point of departure, Teaching with Art instructors lead participants through educational activities geared to enhance their pedagogic practices.

Teachers will:

• view contemporary art

• work collectively with other teachers

• develop critical thinking skills

• participate in writing and/or hands-on activities

• discuss ways to link visual art to other disciplines

 

Teaching with Art program dates:

TBA

 

All Sessions 4-6:30pm at the Contemporary Art Center of Virginia

(4-4:30pm review CAC exhibitions, mingle with peers; 4:30-6:30pm TWA course.)
