EXTENDED HOURS: Tuesdays until 9pm, through August 18

The Art of Glass 2 : Contemporary Art Center of Virginia from Craig Kimberley on Vimeo.

Ten years ago, the major arts institutions of Hampton Roads joined together to present one of the most successful examples of region-wide partnership our community has yet produced: Art of Glass. Across Hampton Roads, community leaders rejoiced that art formed an identity and sense of unity for our region and realized an ambitious vision for excellence. Through Art of Glass, we learned that art has the power to be a transcendent force in Hampton Roads.

Through August 23, 2009, the Chrysler Museum of Art, the Contemporary Art Center of Virginia and the Virginia Arts Festival will once again collaborate to create a landmark event for Hampton Roads: Art of Glass 2. Energized by the resolute support and hard work of volunteer community leaders, Art of Glass 2 presents exhibitions by the several of the finest glass artists in the world. The art will amaze, delight and inspire.
