The Contemporary Art Center of Virginia (CAC) welcomes artists from across the Commonwealth to submit works for our annual, juried New Waves 2009 exhibition. Committed to supporting artists of local, regional, national and international renown, CAC is the leading contemporary art institution in the State. New Waves 2009 is an opportunity for CAC to support the work of Virginia artists by assisting them in garnering recognition from the public and nationally recognized galleries and collectors.

Josée Bienvenu is founder and director of Josée Bienvenu Gallery located in Chelsea, New York. Currently Josée Bienvenu Gallery represents twenty emerging and mid-career international artists. The gallery has participated in art fairs worldwide, and works by gallery artists have been acquired by leading collections and institutions.
Brian Holcombe is the founder and director of Saltworks Gallery located in Atlanta, Georgia. Saltworks represents emerging and mid-career artists and has participated in art fairs worldwide.
